    Hi,

Is there a way to move media on a unity network? Some media was captured on a wrong partition and I need to move it. I don’t have media manager.

    Thanks,

Not the smothest way – but you can go into the OMFI MediaFiles or Avid MediaFiles folders and simply move them by hand. (assuming you can pinpoint them by i.e. creation date or tape name).

As long as you place them in simillar folders on other workspaces they should relink.

Keep in mind that on unity each workstation has it’s own sub directory in the MediaFiles folders. If you place the files in a directory from another workstation it will have to be up and running in order for the Unity to see the files after transfer. Place it in your own workstation sub directory and Media Manager will scan them as soon as you switch back into the Avid.

Relinking to that worspace usually works like a charm – you might have to play about with different options like “Link to higest quality” etc!
