Moving Information from one sequence to a different sequence
I’m currently using final cut 5….
I have a project where i edited a HDV in a SD 16:9 sequence. My question is: is there anyway to transfer the information from the SD sequence to the HDV sequence? Without having to re-edit the whole project. it was captured in HDV and i was using it for a DVD so I had to down convert. Unfortunately, it was delivered captured otherwise I would have used the AJA KONA card. Now i have to drop it to tape in HDV, but can’t seem to figure out how to go about it. Thanks in advance. Hope I explained this well enough 🙂

make a new hdv sequence that precisely matches that hdv footage in every way (size & frame rate)
select all the hdv footage in the sequence, copy it to the new one.
if it doesn’t fill the screen then select it all, right click and remove attributes (motion) this should unscale it.

And if the footage does match the sequence, you should not have to render.
