    Hi,
I haven’t been able to search out the answer to this question, Probably not using the right terms.

I am moving my FCS 2 form my Dual 2.7 G5 to a new eight core Mac Pro.
Ordinarily this would be no big deal, except that I have been up grading from
FCP 4 to 5 then to Studio 1 and now to Studio 2.

What’s going to be the easiest way to install Studio 2 ?
    on my new Mac Pro

Do I have to install FCP 4, 5.1 then, Studio 1, then Studio 2. ?
Or can I just install Studio 2 and give Studio 1 serial # some where?

    Anyone from apple out there

    Thanks,
    Dane

You absolutely should not install the earlier versions. A clean install of the FS2 upgrade is advised and will work, but you will need your earlier serial numbers.

third time lucky. I am installing my Studio 2 on a new 17″ MacBook Pro,it exists on my desktop, the serial number is fine, then it asks for the original serial number, so far I have tried FCP 1.0, FCP 3.0, FCP 4, none of them seem to do the trick, this kills me as I have experienced this with FCP before, this time I am armed with all #’s but no luck, any thoughts for an 11 year FCP user 🙂
