I’m trying to move a project that I’ve been working on on my home Express Pro system to a Media Composer 11.2.7 system. I have a consolidated copy of the OMFI files on an external hard drive. I’ve connected the ExHD to the MC system via firewire (the system recognizes the drive and files) and copied the project over. I was able to load up the sequence, but I get a warning that there’s no decompressor. I used the media tool and the MC was able to recognize all of the media files from the hard drive. I’m assuming the issue is caused by 11.2.7 not supporting DV25. Is there a work around? Is there a version of Media Composer that supports DV25?

DV Media in Meridien MC’s is a VERY expensive Hardware option and very rearly seen outside of network stations. from xpress pro you will need to transcode to either 1:1 or 15:1s for compatability.

Thanks for the response. Can I transcode the OMFs in XPro or do I need to batch digitize everything again at 1:1?

you will need to transcode in xpress pro because MC does not have the DV option so it will not be able to. If you can re dig then do that.

Would adrenaline be able to use the DV25 footage in this case?
