It’s hard for us to know how to help you when you aren’t telling us what you’ve tried so far and exactly what problems you’re having.

Sorry for being so non-descriptive. I think I might have figured it out, though.

What I’m trying to do is to have a stationery (animated) cartoon car and driver with a moving background. Think a long strip of drawings moving in the background from right to left; trees, clouds, buildings, etc. as the foreground car travels along; wheels turning, bouncing up and down.

I ran a test by making the background comp twice as long as the comp for the car and nesting it. Don’t know if that is the correct/easiest method but it worked. If you have an easier method I would like to hear it. The moving background will be made up using the paint effect, drawing the clouds, etc.

    Thanks for the quick input.

Play with the Offset effect. It can be useful for the kind of thing that you describe.

Thanks again Todd. I’ll give it a try and report back.

After pondering a solution I decided to make a long photoshop layer and move it across the screen from right to left. Worked perfectly.

    Thanks for all the input.
