Recently I purchased Final Cut Express 4.0 to make a movie for my brothers wedding. I’m definitely green to Final Cut and all its background files so I need some help.

I just finished editing the movie and I need to clean it off of my computers hard drive so I can work on some new projects. It would be nice to move it to an external hard drive so I can do some touch ups on it later.

Problem is I don’t know where any of the files are. How do I find all of the files I need? How can I move it to an external hard drive? And how can I delete it off my computers hard drive?

    Green and clean,

    D

look for “Final Cut Pro Documents”, inside should be the capture scratch folder as well as the render file folder and several others, if you put those on the external hard drive as well as your project file you should be good to go. Remeber you will have to relink all files if you have to open it. Hope that helps.
