Moving all clips at once?
Hey all,
I’m fairly experienced with Sony Vegas, but I’m jumping into Premiere Pro CS6 now and I’m running into some difficulty finding what (I hope!) is a fairly basic function of editing here:
In Vegas, there is a feature called “Ripple Edit” which will automatically move all clips at once when a clip is added or removed, or when the user moves a clip.
Obviously, I tried Premiere’s Ripple Edit tool, but unlike Vegas, Premiere’s Ripple Edit tool’s purpose appears to be moving all the clips before or after one that is altered (which is great), but not when a clip is simply moved (I hope that makes sense).
Am I correct in my understanding of Premiere’s Ripple Edit tool? If not, how can it be used to move all my clips when I drag one through the timeline? Or is there another way to automatically move every piece of video and audio in my timeline in unison, so that I don’t need to manually select them all? I’m sure there’s an obvious answer here, but I’m not finding it yet.
Help!
