  • Moving a batallion of soldiers across a hilly landscape

I am planning a simple animation of armies moving across a hilly battlefield landscape. Like in a strategy game. Sticking soldiers on the landscape is easy but moving a battallion as a whole with each soldier moving with his feet on the ground is trickier.

Any suggestions for the best way to appoach this?

    Hi Guido,

I suggest that you use Cloner, and then you could use Effector to control everyone’s movement according to what you need. For example, you can use Random for random movement and Step or Delay to get a specific type of time offset. You could also use a Plain or even a Shader, which provides smoother options. You could also use Effector to control soldiers colors for example. If you googling about controlling animation using Effectors you will find many tutorials useful for you.
