I have been trying to find a comparison between KeyClips and Shot Notes X, but have not had much success. I have used Movie*Slate on a few shoots and I noticed they added KeyClips as a free add-on. I recently watched an LACPUG presentation of a work flow that used Shot Notes X and Sync-N-Link with Final Cut Pro X that very efficient. Has any one on here used both? Can anyone explain the differences (and/or similarities) to help me decide if I need Shot Notes X or if it is replaced by Key Clips?
Shot Notes is a lot more basic compared to KeyClips- it’s pretty much designed to transfer a script supervisors paper notes to FCPX. KeyClips is meant to be used with a slate to automate the job of script supervising.
