    Hi all,

I have some video files from a Kodak ZI8 camera. These are originally in a .MOV format. These files wouldn’t render, I kept getting memory errors when there should have been plenty of memory available. Note: I have another full HD video camera which produces .M2T files, these render correctly- so it’s not processor or memory issues.

I did some research, and converted the .MOV files to .AVI using IMtoo video converter.

The video stream properties are 29.970 fps, 1920x1080x24, H264
I’m wondering if I did the conversion wrong somehow??

I am now unable to see the video for the .AVI files, and they’re displaying “media offline”

I’m assuming I’m missing a codec, does anyone know how to figure out which one I’m missing?

    Thanks!

Did you ever find out? I’m having a similar issue. It occurs to me that my computer has the codec whereas my husband’s doesn’t, hence why my videos have lost their video. No idea how to find out which one.

Wow, trying to remember what I did with these. I’m pretty sure I just gave up!

I think I ended up using the (horrible) software that came with the Zi8 camera for this set of video files. I was making a DVD for my daughter’s cheer team, and I had a small subset that were in this format.

Since I was on a time crunch I just bit the bullet and used Kodak’s horrible software.

Good luck! This made me SO mad. 🙂
