Movie filters in Vegas
Hi!
I want to use the effect they use in the lonley planet programs. The one where the the footage looks a bit old and staccato. If you have seen the programs you will understand. I have magic bullet movie looks and movie editor.. If you know any other filters that works good in documentaries, I`ll be happy for any tips.
I also needs inspiration to cut my movie spicy and interesting.. So if you can guide me in the right dirrection, I`ll be happy for that too (-:

You can try a sepia or black & white filter to give it the “old” look.
For a “staccato” look, right-click the video clip, select Properties and lower the Undersample rate.
Try 0.25 for a start and adjust accordingly.For inspiration, take a look at documentaries and/or movies that you’re trying to emulate and see how they approach it.

You can also google the Prelinger Archives. That stuff is free to look at.
