    Hi FCPXers,

Just made the switch and am liking it, only I’m having a problem where movie files aren’t showing up in my Events Library. If I go into the finder I see the files are there in the Event folder with their unique identifiers and all that, but then in the Event in the FCPX GUI they are missing. Even, if I go to relink media, it finds all the files and says 76 files found, but then once it relinks everything and I go back to the Event Library, only 41 files are visible. The remaining files are still missing. If I drag these files from the finder onto the event same thing. They just won’t show up!

I can even drag the clip from the finder onto my project and it will play, but if I try to reveal in Event Library, it won’t find it.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
    Oren

It sounds as though you have some kind of filtering going on in the event browser. Look at the top of the event browser window. There is a drop down. Choose All Clips from the menu in order to see all clips regardless of favorited/rejected status, keywords, etc.

    Hey thanks,

That wasn’t the problem, but it gave me the idea of what was. I was viewing “all clips,” but I had a filter applied from the event search bar. It’s pretty easy to miss, though, because all you see in the search bar is a little dark “key” logo!

    Thanks again,
    Oren
