Move/stretch/compress the video/audio freely like in Sony Vegas Pro?
I have been using Sony Vegas Pro for some time now. I used to use Premiere Pro many years ago. I got used to turning off the “Quantize To Frames” in Sony Vegas Pro to move/stretch/compress audio or video assets on a timeline. This is helpful when being as accurate as you can be with syncing lip movement to dialog of music singing, or whatever really…
I for the life of me can’t find that same feature or capability in Premiere Pro.
Any veteran users out there know of a shortcut, setting or trick to accomplish this?

Did you try the rate stretch tool? Holding the Alt key while using the tool lets you stretch or compress the video track separately from the audio track to help with matching lip sync.

I have used that tool. And I found a way to move the audio freely and have it NOT snap to frames. But I was curious about doing the same with the video. You CAN’T trim, move or anything to video without it snapping to frames.

trying a little trick to help with getting video to stretch/compress/move a little more accurate if needed. But I may need some expert opinions from pro users of premiere pro.
I started a project with a sequence that has 60fps. The source video is 29.97fps. I did my edit… moving, stretching, compressing the video to sync lip movement with the separate audio track. … ok now the trick… if I start a NEW sequence (29.97fps) and nest the first (60fps) sequence on it and export it at 29.97fps… will the video project be effected by the original sequence that is at 60fps?
