Brilliant!! Thanks John. Here the solution I came up with. It’s quick and easy, but not uniform with the other cuts. I’ll run with it unless someone can point out a better way?

Here’s demo project – work was done using Track Motion keyframes (changing Z position).

That looks fine and it’s a good compromise between a lot of editing or a little fading.

[Roger Smith] “I do several teams and lots of games, so the least amount of time I spend on each project helps the business. Nothing fancy..”

Hi all, sorry I’m late I’ve been away.
The easiest way is for me, is to add a track above and make all below a child. Then do track motion from the parent track. This avoids any further cutting or fading in and out. Sample veg is here 8357_movetracktofrontwhilechangingtrackmotion.veg.zip
Great fun and I find all the solutions are very clever and informative. Good work all.

The problem with that solution is you are just zooming into the entire frame which will reduce the resolution significantly and also doesn’t adjust for the fact that some videos are behind the other and need to come forward so that the entire video frame can be seen not just the section that’s visible from behind. The only way to get the entire frame to display is to bring the video forward in 3D space so that the whole video is revealed.
