move text along a path
Hello there,
I’ve been try to make my text follow a path that I created ..HOWEVER everytime I do it the text follows the path but it’s far away from the path… here’s how I’m doing it.
1. type in the text
2. with the text layer selected I draw a path (mask)
3. open the text layer properties and turn on the path to mask
when I do that instead of being close to the path is wayyy offset…
I tried having it going along the path, etc… but still doesn’t work…anyone can help?????

Use either First Margin or Last Margin to move your text into the location you want. Should you want to animate the text along the path, use one of the two properties mentioned above.

I’ve done that and it doesn’t work the text is all the way up instead of being along the path….

Something simple, yet problematic is going on here. If you have the Margin properties visible that means, you do have a mask path on the text layer. My only guess is that you have more than one mask path on the text layer and your path option is pointed to a mask path that shouln’t be there.

OH MY GODDDDDD thanks!!!!
I had the baseline all the way up to 180!!!! that solved it.
I have to pay more attention!
