Move Objects to Real World
Posted by John Doey on April 26, 2009 at 1:01 pmCan someone tell me how to move objects according to the Real World cordinates? Right now everytime I rotatate an Object, I’m moving it along it’s new cordinates.

April 27, 2009 at 5:05 amYou can use the coordinate manager set to World, or you can place the object in a null that’s aligned to world coordinates, or you can drag off the object in one of the orthographic viewports (side, top, front, etc.).

I kind of figured this out, 7 hours after my post.. I was searching everywhere. and I mean everywhere to find this answer..
If you are to set it to any cordinate X,Y,Z or World on the top toolbar.. you have to drag the object on the object. Do not move it on any of the axis arrows. Because it will still be moved in that direction.
Null object is a good way to do it but kind of time consuming. Placing the null then positioning it to that object ect…
Ortho views don’t do anything but move it relative to the new cordinates.

Use Functions/Transfer to line it up (if you aren’t already)
