    Just thinking of defecting from Avid to FCP we use Panasonic Hvx 200 with firestore the avid seems to have a problem importing the clips
    Question..can FCP import from firestore ok and how easy is the learning curve from avid liquid to FCP also are there any avdvantages FCP has over liquid

    Yes, just make sure that you PREP THE FOOTAGE FOR P2 on the Firestore. Don’t forget that step. Then watch my tutorial on importing Panasonic P2 footage here (needs updating to match FCP 5.1.2 import window)

    Can’t say. I came from an Avid Media Composer, and it was pretty easy. But you really need to do all the tutorials and learn how FCP works. They are different in many key areas.

    Never used Liquid, so I cannot say for sure.

    Hi Shane thanks for the tutorial very helpfull
    do you know how this would work if you didnt use P2
    cards and just used the firestore. At the moment we import
    direct from firestore into avid using X receive is there
    this facility on FCP
