.MOV only imports as audio :(
Someone posted this exact problem, but then they switched to a different editor and problem was fixed. So no suggestions were made!
I’m using Premiere Pro CC and have edited .mov before, without trouble. This time, someone else shot the footage (Panasonic AF100, 1080 p 60i) (Apple ProRez 422). The footage imports only as audio.
Also there is interlacing problems, but I won’t know for sure if I can fix those until I can actually SEE the original footage. If I convert the footage to MP4 I can see it and mostly (?) solve the interlacing problem.
Any suggestions how to get this video into Premiere?

That camera doesn’t shoot ProRes, it shoots AVCHD. So how did they convert the footage to ProRes?

It’s quite possible it’s a different camera. I can’t read the guy’s writing. It could be AF150.

Still Panasonic…still an AF camera. That line only does what they call “AVCCAM,” which is their flavor of AVCHD. They also have P2 cameras that shoot MXF…DVCPRO HD MXF and AVCIntra MXF. No camera they make shoots MOV.
Still…how was this footage converted to a MOV file?

When I look at the files on the drive, they are .MOV.
When I look at the properties when the clip is in Premiere (audio only of course) it reads:Video data block #1:
Frame Size = 1920 x 1080
Compressor = Apple ProRes 422
Quality = Normal (3.00)Just noticed something even more bizarre. Footage shot on ANOTHER day, many months prior, comes into Premiere totally fine. It reads:
Video data block #1:
Frame Size = 960 x 720
Compressor = DVCPRO HD 720p60
Quality = Normal (3.00)Now I’m guessing these were shot on two different cameras? So confusing…
