Did some searching and didn’t find a solution to this.

    I have an 8-bit uncompressed/48khz audio 720P 23.98 file.

It plays perfectly in quicktime. It plays perfectly from aja tv out to my monitor.

in fcp it drifts horribly in the canvas and timeline.

kona lhe 7.1 driver on fcp 6.03

I have trashed preferences, and tried just about every setting I can think of. I’ve done this many times before and never had a problem.

    any ideas?

Looks like it was some trouble with the file itself.

I tried other HDV 720P 24 files and they were not a problem.

To fix it, I exported it from quicktime as an 8-bit uncompressed
file, then dropped it into a 59.94 sequence and it played perfectly.

fortunately it did the edit to tape without any rendering required.

    Chris,

I’ve experienced a few episodes of unexplained behaviors that were cures by the following: try uninstalling the Kona drivers, run fix permissions on the system drive, then reinstall the drivers.
