November 4, 2011 at 12:52 pmHey John, thanks for the support on that topic. I was reading about that problem in different forums and installed and de-installed many Quicktimes now but the problem is still there. It only works in random terms for me (Vegas is working fine for sometimes 1 min sometimes for 10).
I run Sony Vegas Pro 9.0e 64-bit. It would be great if you can you help me out?
Tanks,

Vegas Pro 9.0e should be able to use the latest QuickTime without any problems. I would completely uninstall QuickTime and then re-install the latest version from Apple and see if that fixes your problem.

November 6, 2011 at 11:27 pmI am experiencing the same symptoms with the same software package as John Schmidt. I have tried uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling QT 7.6.0 but this has not resolved the problem.
I am wondering if I renderred the clips as AVI files that would be an appropriate work around.

That would be a good work around. I would use a code like CineForm. It isn’t free but it’s worth it to maintain the high quality of your original footage.

December 9, 2012 at 8:13 pmwell, seemed to work in the first place, but stopped after half an hour or so. Couldn’t help myself because I already tried for 3 hours to get that working so I had to find a Russian solution and reformatted all of the mov files (something about 7GB) into mp4. That took me another hour but since than vegas was running smooth like butter. Can’t help myself but vegas is really like made out of ice, if you touch it the wrong way it collapses suddenly, if everything’s fine it works perfect like nothing else! :-/
