    Hi Sascha

in the viewer page to zoom into image and then move the image you need to middle click mouse to drag image horizontally and vertically

how do you do this with a wacom, a middle click button function

    I have a pen..
It has a tip, left click.
It has a two side button, left side is middle, right side is right.
So left middle right on one device.
In Fusion you can even combine left and middle for precise movements.
In Scratch i love the natural movments of drawing circles to increase and decrease values.
And in my edit software I just have a more natural feeling scrubbing and dragging things into place.

I wonder if on Ableton you can control the intensity of the buttons ?

It looks interesting but in dark i have few reservations 🙂

You cannot control the button illumination on the Abelton but it is not that bright, about as bright as the displays on the wave.

Yep, the same as I did until I got a control surface. Having a Wacom made me much faster than with a mouse. if I had to do something on the keyboard, I didn’t have to let go of the pen.

Might sound stupid, but no time lost in letting go, do keyboard stuff, and find the mouse again. Getting on my nerves when I have to do that over and over again. The pen always stays between my fingers.

You’re also navigation the screen much faster with a pen! Editing in FCP with a pen is awesome and feels more natural, if that’s a word I can apply to editing..

For some reason, the only applications that I prefer using a mouse over the Wacom is with grading apps. This is a pain for me, because I loathe mice. But I think using the Wacom with both a color control-surface as well as the keyboard is too awkward because you always have to pick-up/drop the stylus whenever you move your hands off the control-surface and have to interact with the UI.

This is why I donated to the Kickstarter campaign for PenMoto (https://penmoto.com), which looks kinda silly, but may be the answer to my prayers when using the Wacom with Resolve.

That’s what I did. Ever after I got the Eclipse control surface (which I encourage all to get..) was abandon the Wacom. It became better to use the mouse for the few UI things I do. And saves space on the desktop.

The Wacom is now a tool for special operations like when I retouch a photo or need to sign contracts and return to sender through email.
