Motion Tutorial – LiveType Font “Salute” missing?
Following along the Intro to Motion tutorials that came with Final Cut Studio 5.1. Asks to add a LifeType font called ‘Salute’ which I cannot find. I have 42 LiveType fonts installed, am I missing many? Re-installed the 2 ‘LiveType’ discs that came with the software. Still 42 fonts total. Where’s Salute?

In LIve Type you’ll see Collectors Edition and Pro Series under Category. Salue is under the Pro Series.
In Motion, when you select LiveFonts, you’ll see folders on the right that says All (52 items), Collectors Edition, Pro Series. All LiveFonts are there in All or you’ll Salue in the Pro Series too. -
Craig, thanks for the reply. I’ve only got 42 fonts total in the 2 folders instead of 52. Installed the Live Type media discs twice and 42 fonts seems to be what I got. I did get FCP Studio 5.1 ‘academic’ version. Perhaps that’s the issue?

Odd. I’d be surprised that the academic version contains less fonts. Maybe someone else on COW with academic Final Cut Studio 5.1.x can confirm this.
