    Help Meeee!!
    I’m losing my mind here.
I want to track something that starts offscreen and comes onscreen.
I start at the last frame of the scene and track backwards,..but when it gets to the edge it doesn’t go offscreen.
Someone told me i had to precomp and increase the size.
So I did that, went back and tried ago
It STILL stops at the edge.
I’ve tried every combination of Extrapolate at 70%,80% & 90%
I’ve tried it with Subpixel positioning on and off
I’ve tried it with Adapt feature on every frame on and off.
I also tried tracking RGB AND Luminance.
Its really starting to wind me up now, I know it should be simple to sort,..so why can’t I?? 🙁

AE tracks pixels, so when they go off screen the tracker gets lost. You have to manually move the track points off screen. It ends up being a lot of trial & error. Check out Aharon Rabinowitz’s new tutorial on tracking with Mocha & be amazed.

You can just move the little plus sign at the middle of the tracker by hand. This is the attach point that all calculations are based on.
