    Hi all,

Got a problem. I’ve been given footage and asked to motion track A over B.

“A” is footage of a newscaster.
“B” is the “plate” footage of a hospital TV monitor on the wall.

The problem is that the camera will do a pan left and down off the wall to a patient in a straight jacket in a bed. The camera will eventually come off the monitor and away from the wall.

Can this be worked around in Motion or is this going to be an After Effects project. I have tried it both and I can’t get it two work.

I’ve looked everywhere on the wall to find something to attach to without much luck.

The only thing I could do was to dupe the A comp and match it to my last good frame of the motion tracked clip. The manually key frame each corner frame by frame til the monitor is off camera.

Does anyone have a better workaround?

thanks for taking the time to read.

    –Tim
