Motion Template Published Crashes FCPX
Hi all:
I’m having a vexing issue. I’ve created a tagboard in Motion that has a couple of editable text areas. Plus I added a rig with a dropdown that will toggle one of two supporting graphics for use in FCPX. This is my first foray into rigging, btw.
In FCPX the tagboard appears in the template I’ve created, and when I drop it onto a timeline, all I get is a blue screen. When I click on it, FCPX immediately crashes. Interestingly, while in the project library, the preview shows my template perfectly.
I removed all third-party plugin usage out of that Motion template, just in case, but still crashing.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The blue screen and crash may be related to a bug – if you have Motion 4 installed on the same system, you need to remove any custom presets by deleting this folder:
user/library/application support/final cut studio/motion/presets
Try that, quit and restart FCP X, and let us know.
