Can anyone tell me why when you send a clip to Motion that has a dissolve on either end, that it comes back and instead of a smooth dissolve like before it pops on abruptly. If I do not put a transistion on either end and wait until it returns from Motion it works fine. Is this typical behavior for Motion and FCP?
    Thanks!!!

We’ve seen similar complaints, sorry, i cannot recall what anyone did about them. for me, I never export effects or transitions to Motion without rendering them, baking them, into self-contained video. A holdover form my years with Media 100 and After Effects.

I prefer to do effects in Motion and transitions in FCP.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
