Motion Project Maximum File Size
Hi,
Is there any guidance regarding the maximum file size of a Motion 5 project?
I have an animated text project that ballooned in size to over 200mb. I thought it might have been because of a bunch of inverted masks I added but I’ve deleted a lot of layers and groups and the project file keeps increasing in size and consequently takes a long time to open (Around 20 minutes!). When it does eventually open it works fine.
Is there anything in particular that adds to the size of a Motion project that I should be aware of or anything I can delete to reduce the file size? It seemed to jump from circa 20mb to over 200mb and I can’t see any logic as to why.

I’ve localised this issue to a single group that has 30 layers in it.
Is there a smart way to handle this or am I best to export that group as a .mov and re-import to the project, deleting the original group?
A more versatile solution than that would be really nice.
