    Hi all

I have numerous strokes drawn with the pen tool with 3Dstroke applied to them. As they are growing and animating, I need seperate layers to follow the tip of the strokes.

I have tried to copy the ‘path’ attribute of the strokes into the ‘position’ attribute of the layer to follow them. This created the 2 sec default roving keyframes but the motion created in no way followed the actual path of the strokes.

Through further investigation i realized that this method is only working properly when the stroke pathe is stationary, not animated. Is there any way to accurately use an animated stroke as a path, or alternatevly to parent the position of the layer to the last verticie of a path?

Really need to get this working, any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

I could be wrong but I don’t think that’s possible. You can’t get any 3D positional data from the tips of the stroke in 3D stroke, only it’s central transform point.

You might just have to fake it and do a spot of key-framing!
