    hey guys,

I’m importing photoshop files into motion and applying a drop shadow. the shadow is getting cropped at the edge of the layer. I know how to extend the layer cropping in combustion to correct this. however I’m not having any luck in Motion.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,

    Chris

In the inspector, you can modify the size of the layer.

    Heya,

Just to clarify: you’ll need to nest your PSD image in a layer and then (with the layer selected) go to the ‘Layer’ tab of the Inspector and enable Fixed Resolution. This stops the layer from shrinking-to-fit and lets you specify a hard size. You can then extend the layer to avoid the cropping of you drop shadow.

    Good luck with your project!
