Hi I’ve recently discovered you can drag n drop motion files into bins in Avid in the same way you would with FCP. I tried this for the first time today and after Avid had processed the motion file it opened ok. However the motion file (a lower third) looked over-stretched and I had to edit the matte effect (created by avid) to resize it to look correct. As this was the first time I’ve tried this I don’t know if did anything wrong on either the Motion or Avid side of things. The project setting in Motion was DV SD broadcast Pal/CCIR 601 & edited project setting to anamorphic. The Avid project was also DV PAL anamorphic. Avid took a long time to process the file. I was using Motion 3 and Avid Xpress Pro. Any tips on this will be well appreciated. Thanks.

When you drag and drop graphics, Avid will default to the last settings you used whilst importing. So, check your media creation tab under settings. Make sure your settings match your project (I believe it defaults to RGB color space, for sure).
