Motion Blur Switch CS5.5
Since they’ve made Motion Blur a layer switch, instead of an option in say particle world, I’ve run in to problems trying to use it. Whenever I switch it on/off, nothing happens, I ended up just using the Directional Blur to get a similar effect… However, I’m fairly positive that I’m just missing some key step or element in using it, so I’m curious, has anyone had the same problem?

Besides the layers motion blur switch are you enabling motion blur for the composition also? #1 enables motion blur for the layer, but until you press #2 and enable it for the composition it’s turned off. Makes it easier to work if AE doesn’t have to calculate the blur for every frame, just turn it on before rendering.
