A couple of last questions…does this bug affect Motion 4 on Lion?
Would it be best to install Motion 4 on a separate partition running Snow Leopard?
Or could I just install Motion 4 on the same Lion partition where Motion 5 exists?

Haven’t run M4 on LIon so don’t know. Separate partition is safest – but I run M4 and M5 (and FCP7/FCPX) on the same partition on Snow Leopard – with the caveat of following Apple’s advice:

Hey this might be late but still, hope I can help:

I was having the same problem as yours, but it was solved when I updated Motion to 5.0.1, I didn’t even see the “Playmode” back in Motion 5.0, maybe it’s a new feature??

Anyway, I’m also running motion on Lion, I think all you need to do is to update Motion.

    Cheers

    Andy

    How soon is now?

how does full screen work for you? i’m not sure how you got it to work but are you sure you’re on lion and using Motion 5?

I have Motion 5 installed on Lion 10.7.3 and there is still no full screen option.

I’ve been on the latest update of Lion for each installment of Motion 5, i got the program 3 weeks after it came out.

Every time there is an update in the program I download it right away, in hopes that they’ll finally add full screen to it but they never do.

could you please provide a screenshot of you using Motion 5 with Lion and show where you can choose to go full screen?

    Sorry mate…doesn’t work 🙁
I don’t think the other guys understand what we mean when we say we want “fullscreen”. I don’t want borders and any play bars underneath the screen area!
Have to revert back to M4 for this feature obviously :/
