  Motion 4 templates crashes with Maverick but only on Macbook Pro

  Hello good people
  I have a Macbook Pro and have been running FCP7 on it for a bit over a year. I installed Maverick OS and now am having problems with Motion 4 crashing when I use templates that I used to use with ease.
  I can use the templates without crashing on my older iMac which is also running on Maverick.
  the specs on the Macbook Pro are
  2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
  16 GB 1600Mhz DDR3
  running OSX Version 10.9.5

  What can I do? I’m migrating to Premiere Pro but have some projects that need to be finished in FCP7 using motion. Would it help to have an external video processor?
