    Hello,

I’m doing some very simple text floats across screen with Motion 3. The movements are created using the throw behavior and the edges of the text are ‘creeping’. I recognise this from operating DS Nitris and needing to use subpixel rendering. Is this something Motion can do? or am I better off making a double size comp and scaling down afterwards to get better motion on my edges?

    Many thanks,

    Paul

Are you looking at the final output with all quality settings to high or a lower res proxy preview?

No, I’ve double checkd al my output settings when I choose to export the project to an animation quicktime. 32 bit float, Full res and best quality render. I don’t have motion blur switched on because the text is moving very slowly and adds loads to the rendering time.

    Heya,

Motion blur definitely adds to the render time, but so does using 32-bit float. Are you doing any particular operations that require float? It adds a lot of overhead to the processing, and doesn’t often make a difference.
