OK, I’m working on something that really should be steam-driven, Motion 3.

All I want to do is apply a gradient (from the list of available gradients in the Motion library) into my window. Particle Emitters, Replicators, Text and other Content aren’t a problem, but selecting a gradient and then trying to Apply or drag it into my window gives me a big fat zero …

Please, does anyone know what on earth is going on and how I might rescue this?

    Settings; 720p / PAL / 25fps

    Thank you for your time.

Are you just trying to drag a gradient style into the viewer? Or are you trying to apply the gradient to a layer.

If you want a gradient in the viewer, go to your Library tab and then select the Generators category (not the gradient category). Inside the generators category you should see a gradient color generator. Drag that into your project. In the inspector, you should then be able to select the gradient style button and choose the gradient style you want.

    Hope this helps.
