Motion 2 crashes at launch after recent updates
I updated to OS X 10.4.2 and also installed all the recent FCP, Compresssor, Pro App Support updates…yesterday.
Today, I launched Motion 2 for the first time since those updates and it won’t launch. It just crashes when I try to launch it after a few seconds.
I trashed the preferences and it still does it. I also restarted and it still does it.
Anyone else get this?

I ended up installing Tiger on my new, second (faster) internal drive. I installed Motion 2 onto that drive. I installed all the updates, and Motion 2 works fine.
So I must have something on my other drive that Motion 2 doesn’t like.

we are having a similar problem. On OS 10.3.8 with Motion 1.0.1, after we re installed the OS, motion no longer works, it worked fine for months. Now when you open it the browser pops up it gives you that prompt to ask what size template, when you pick it it crashes everytime. I have no idea why but it seems like no one else is having this problem and apple care won’t help unless you fork over 200$.
