    Hi everyone.

Once again i’m having problems with sony vegas and rendering..

This time it’s files from a camera, and the rendering works fine when i just pull all the clips in there and render, but when i add even just a little bit of music or effects, the approximate time just keeps going up..

I’ve just made a 30 second video with 5 5-10 second clips, a song and a song effect of a explosion, and that makes sony vegas unable to render it.

It’s now up on 7 hours and with no sign of rendering.

This can’t be right, and i’m very frustrated with Sony Vegas as it never seems to work with rendering.

Please, I really need some help, and try to explain it very basic to me, since i’m not that much of a tech guy, sadly..

If you give us more information, we might be able to help you.
What’s your computer specs (i7, etc.), how much RAM, what OS, 32 or 64 bit, number of hard drives, type of files from your camera (DV, HDV, AVCHD)?

I have Sony Vegas 9 64bit version with windows 7 installed.

I’m not a big tech guy but i think this is my specs

Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3-1600 DualChannel RAM.
    1TB Western Digital S-ATA Harddrive.

Again i’m not a big tech guy, so i’m really insecure on this topic, so tell if something doesn’t make sense.

The video files are .MOD – which works fine in Vegas and other programs.

I don’t know what processer i have, sorry.

This is what i could find. I hope it helps.

    – Thank you.

    EDIT:

This is how the project looks like:

    – Not even past the 25 seconds mark.

Did you install any Codec-paks (like K-Lite)? Sometimes 3rd part codecs can cause Vegas not to render properly.

This is a bug of Vegas 9. Do not set the audio level of audio tracks to -Inf. Set it to 0 db and Mute it.

Thanks, it worked, but now i have another issue..

When i try to play the movie in Windows Media Player the video is just a black screen all the way through without any sound.

    How do i fix this?

    Thanks.

Never mind that black screen issue, I fixed it by rendering it to wmw.

    Again, thanks for the support.

    Your knowledge is very appreciated.
