I’ve searched through the posts and found some great info on the topic of going from 23.98 NDF to 29.97DF. Here is my problem: I recently sold a program and need an internatioal version that includes timecode cues for text and narration and such. Unfortunately, all of the timecode cues were given from the 23.98 timeline and so after mastering to HDCAM they are all off by a few seconds. I’ve tried using timecode calculator and making a 29.97 DF timeline in final cut and dragging the reference quicktime file into there. The problem is Final Cut gives me different numbers than the calculator, not by a lot but a couple seconds. Which one should I trust? The TRT seems to come out the same on both, but all of the other cues are different. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Why not get a timecode burn from the HDCAM and use that?
