More backgrounds!
Posted by Paul Hansen on December 8, 2006 at 8:37 pmInspired by Alan Lorence’s method of making haloless objects for emitters, I have created a little collection of emitters that will make nice, distracting backgrounds for titles and things! https://phansen.ca/MoreBackgrounds.il3

They are all good I would like to see the leaves emitter work a little slower, smother transitions if you will. I’m working on that and getting close to what I would like to see.One question on the RoyGBivRug emitter.
It looks so different in the preview window than it does on the stage.
In the preview it looks glassy and bubbly where on the stage it looks pixilated and postage stamp like.

The faces in BeCareful are very eerie this emitter is really cool.
I think I can use that in a current project. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.Now if I can just get looping to work for me I

December 9, 2006 at 8:05 pmThanks, Bill… I don’t quite understand what you did wrong with the RoyGBivRug but… glad you worked it out. The easiest looping I have found is just to use several copies of the video and cross fade them. not perfect but I don’t think people really notice.

I changed the background of the preview window from black to an image so I could check out Alex’s facial emitter. I forgot to change it back so it effected the way your emitter looked in the preview window vs. the way it looked on the stage.
Bottom line orperator error. 🙂Bill
