Curious question here, does having more RAM = Faster RAM previews? Or just longer ones?

Using CS4 with 4gbs RAM, thinking about getting another 4 if it will speed things up.

    I am running a AMD 5000+ BE @ 2.8 Ghz
    4gb DDR2 800 – Patriot Memory

    Thanks!

I’m not an expert, but I’m going to say longer previews. AE buffers a frame at a time – the time it takes to buffer each frame is a function of the processor speed not the amount of RAM. My best guess.

Not a guess at all, right on. This answer qualifies you as an expert, Gary.
