Greetings, can the team suggest a decent monitor/display for fcp HD video editing, some word processing and photoshop. I don’ play video games. I was looking at the apple cinema display since i use a MbPro 2.66, core i7 8gig ram. I was wondering if you knew of or could recommend any decent 27 inch monitors under 1000.00? I use a LAcie 324 at home and need more architecture for a doc i am editing at school. Unfortunately I am hemmed in by a very limited budget. I work in very verité cinema, no special effects.

1) then why not post in the FCP forum
2) what the hell is Verite Cinema
3) start playing video games – what kind of kid are you ?
4) this is the monitor you want –
$159 – and yes, it’s a 1080p 24″ LCD monitor. Is that cheap enough for you ? (because you have under $1000 available).
and if you INSIST on a 27″ for Verite Cinema
$329 – just for you.
my advice to you is to start playing video games, and learn some special effects.

You have just been “Zelinized,” Eric. It is considered a badge of honor by many in the COW — though it is feared by others.

I am 5o years old… been around academics, technocrats, artists, writers, and even worked as a fishing guide from Mexico to Alaska,,, Zelenized or Hyderized, it’s all good… doesn’t change my fiscal constraints… I will work in the lab in my department on the two 30 inch cinema displays, and tough it out on my home kit — my mbp with a lacie 324, and an HP zx24 something something… ( until i can afford the real toys)… love the COW.. i recommend to ALL my students and colleagues.
