I got MacBookPro and Ikan 1080i monitor but the Firewire out only delivers SD out, that in an HD monitor looks like crap, better the canvas window of FCP.
Is there a way by means of an external device, to monitor HD out?
    Thanks

You can get a DVI to HDMI converter and if you set the 2nd display correctly you get somewhat of an approximation of what the output looks like.

you can also look at something like the Matrox MXO series. I don’t use them but others seem to like them.

The AJA IoHD is the best option.
