So you got the render line out ?

I have a copy of CS3 that also states the same PAR. 1.33 for 720P and 1.5 for 1080. DVCPro HD square would be a custom preset.

Regarding the 60P issue, that’s why I mentioned 30 “PN”. In that case only 30 native frames are being recorded, thus doubling the amount of space for storage.

Note that’s only available in the 720P mode (not much of a difference between 720 and 1080 on an HVX anyway).

On the broadcast side, you can produce in 60P, but you still end up with 30 native frames at transmission time.

Happy holidays, the turkey is cooking 😉

I stand corrected. You are right. The native mode does save space. I’ve read that section at least three times (obviously not very carefully) and never picked that up.

I’ll have to shoot some tests in PN mode and see how it all works. Like I said, I’ve only had the cam since July and barely had time to do anything but turn it on, point, and press record. Must set aside some time after the New Year to get better acquainted with my new friend.

Best to you, Vince. Enjoy the turkey! 🙂

    Hmmm…

I’m late to this thread, but I’ve worked with 24PN footage on CS3 with a four monitor system (behind me in my bio picture here at the cow), without a problem.

You had a red line because when you went to a desktop setting, it was no longer native.

CS4 is great, but what you need is a bigger machine.

I was gtting some good RT previews on the NTSC monitor using my graphics card with PP CS3. PP CS4 does not get as much RT on my system.
