Hey, hoping someone can help me. I just received a DeckLink HD Extreme 3D and while I can get 2K monitoring in Resolve, I can’t get it in Premiere CS6, either from the SDI or the HDMI. Can anyone offer some advice?

I’m on Windows 7 with the latest Blackmagic drivers.

    Thanks!

    Hi Bruce,

Blackmagic relies on your sequence settings, it will not downscale to 1080p on the fly. If you want to output a 2k sequence with Blackmagic you will need a 2k monitor. If you have a HD monitor, you can place your 2k media into a 1080p sequence and output it that way. Be sure to select Scale To Frame Size.

    Hi Bruce,

Can you please explain why both Resolve and After Effects are capable of sending out a signal that will play back via SDI on a Decklink while working in 2K timelines and comps, but Premiere is not?

I would really like for this to work at some point, as all the workarounds and half measures (“you can place your 2k media into a 1080p sequence and output it that way. Be sure to select Scale To Frame Size. “) are not really solutions.

    Thanks.
