Monitor Window lags.
Hey guys!
This is probably a newbie question. Let’s see for yourself 🙂
I’m pretty new to Adobe Premiere Pro but not that new ’cause I’ve been working for 2 years -day for day- in After Effects so I’m pretty confortable with the interface and the effects.
Basicly, since After Effects is made to do visual effects, I just want a software to do video editing. No visual effects at all since I’m doing them in After Effects. I just want a software where I can put some clips, play them with some music, continue, put more clips. Just want to do a nice job. Like every little video editing basic softwares.
But I noticed that in the “Monitor” window, the “Sequence 01” little window lags a lot when I hit play and it seems to be the only window where I can hear the music and see my clips at the same time. But how can I do a great job to synchronise well the music and the clips when all I see is clips that lags?! I think it stops at every 2 frames or something. I don’t want to do a bad job. I want to have some feelings in the movie. You probably all know what I’m talking about 🙂

Premiere does not automatically render previews in RAM like AE. The real time preview feature is limited by your hardware setup and/or effects applied to the video. To get a REAL preview, position the work area bar over the area you need to inspect, hit the Enter key to render to disk that area.
