I am finally breaking down and trading in my FCP4.5 running on a G4 10.3.9 for a MacPro 8-core. Major upgrade for me as you can imagine. I am going to order the ATI Radeon graphics card and, as a result, will have to de-commission my analog Mutsubishi Daimond Plus monitors. Too bad – they work just fine. A Samsung monitor (runs about $250; don’t know the model number) has been suggested as a replacement. What say you all? I’d love to hear your opinions on the best buy at the most reasonable price. Thanks a lot.

I have some 22″ ACERs here at work that are nice. V223W…not sure on the price though.

Look at Dell 22″ as well.

    Thanks Shane –
I’ll check them out. Was looking back over some previous posts and someone mentioned the Samsung LN3750 and the LG LH90. They are both larger than I want though since I will keep one analog monitor for the browser info. Also Biscardi back in 2008 mentioned the Dell WFP2804 but I do not see it in the current catalogue. Again probably too large for my needs. Maybe an LG LH in a smaller size or the same with the Samsung might work.

    I have a pair of 26″ Acers. 2616, I think.

HP & Dell have some good monitors at their middle price points.
