  • MOJO WITH A FIREWIRE DRIVE PLUGGED IN AT THE SAME TIME?

Posted by Lee on April 21, 2006 at 11:53 am

    Can this be done?

Mojo box seems to conflict with the External firestore drive when I connect it to the addtional firewire port on the computer.

Is there a way of connecting both at the same time?

    Mojo
    Xpress pro HD

    Thanks

You could try a completely separate FireWire BUS. Meaning that you use another FireWire card, plugged into a PCI slot, and that this slot is not on the same bus as the FireWire card used with the mojo.

I have not tried that myself, but that would be the best possible result. I use Highpoint Rocket Raid controller / SATA II array. That works very well.

    Hope that helps.

It is true, I run a mojo and an ext drive on a g4 powerbook. I run the mojo firewire straight to the pb. and run the ext drive to a firewire card. everything works great.
