December 5, 2005 at 4:57 pmyou are well advised to have your SCSI drives in an external enclosure. There are countless companies (like AVID, STorCase, HUGE, Medea, Rorke, Granite, etc.) that make these products. And YES – they cost A LOT MORE MONEY than Firewire 800 drives.

Panasonic AJ-D230 w/lastest firmware update (Dif 1.17. (2) Panasonic AG-DVC200 cameras, Combustion4.0I am getting my information from the facts. I edit, as well as many others 1:1 (uncompressed) video and graphics on a daily basis with the above system with no problems whatsoever. I can’t tell you that someone else can do the same because their system may vary. I just no that it can be done because I have done it with no problems at all.
