  • mograph: cloner in cloner, time offset

    hello,
i have some troubles when using a mograph cloner object inside another cloner object.
the source i am cloning is a simple cube which has a scale animation.
then it seems the time offset of a step effector will just work on the first cloner but not with the second one.
i hope someone here can help me with that.
    cheers,
    markus

How are you expecting the time offset to work with the second cloner? In other words, have you actually animated the first cloner so there’s something to offset?

the only animation i have is the scale of the cube, that is my source object to clone.
the first cloner makes 5 cubes vertical and has a step effector applied. that works fine, the 5 cubes start scaling with an offset.
so the second cloner makes clones of the previous clones in horizontal direction. and here i want to have an offset as well.
doesn’t work with another step effector. is there a way to do it?
    thanks for replying!

I think there is a way to do it, but not the way you’ve gone about it. The offset animation function only works with keyframe animation.

I think what you’ll have to do is copy the original cloner and manually offset the keyframe animation of the cloned cubes.
