    I’m trying to create a scene but its proving to be rather a challenge.

    I want to use a animate a rigid body to trigger some falling objects as it intersects with them. But i cannot figure out how to achieve this.

    The falling objects are all Cloner Objects with the Rigid tag applied. I can get them to fall instantly, but thats not what i need.

    Does the trigger object need to be a cloner object as well, or can i just apply rigid tag to a primitive?
    What settings need selecting to make this sphere act as a collision object, without itself falling out of the sky?

    The second part of the problem is that i need the objects to drop into a trolley. I have this as a cloner object and it works fine, right up until i try to put some motion into the trolley. I want my camera to be attached to the trolley looking into the basket, so i created a null object, put the trolley clone group in, and the camera, yet when i re-position the null, only the camera moves…the trolley remains where it was!

    thanks in advance

    1. Any object with a MoGraph rigid body tag can act as a collider. As long as the object isn’t in a cloner or fracture object, the object itself won’t be affected by dynamics; it will just knock around objects that are in cloners or fracture objects with rigid body tags;

    2. If you have an object in a cloner or fracture object that has a mograph rigid body tag on it, it WILL be affected by mograph dynamics, so you can’t keyframe it (or move it) separately. So in your example the trigger and trolley should be standalone objects with mograph rigid body tags and the falling objects should be in the cloner.

    thanks Adam – that makes sense!

    Adam – i can’t replicate the effect as you suggest.

    I’m wondering if what i need to do is too complicated for the Mograph module (I don’t have the dynamics module).

    I cannot get any object to work with a rigid body tag unless it is in a cloner object.

    If i put just the rigid body tag on the trolley, then the boxes fall straight through it.
    If i try just the RB tag on a sphere to act as as a trigger – it passes straight through the cloner object that it is supposed to trigger with no interaction – unless i set the cloner objects collision type to immediate…which kind of defeats the point of having the on collision option!

    or have i completely misunderstood some underlying principle here?
